Neon EVERYWHERE! The Dock 1053 classic of Lynnwood Brewing Concern continues to draw weary patrons who need a break. Come find your favorite hiding spot and the perfect place to read a book with your brew.

Park It At The Dock

Lynwood Brewery Concern is located on the North East side of Raleigh right across the parking lot from the Wilson’s Eatery As we approached for the first time, the area did not seem to fit the what we had read online. Nonetheless, when you make the turn into the parking lot, the trendy Dock 1053 sign jumps off the wall and you start to realize just how fun this is going to be.

The parking is unfortunately limited. The area in the front near the entrance fills up the quickest. You can head down the side of the warehouse-turned-shopping center. Be warned, a fair amount of these spots are reserved for employees of various shops in the complex. There are no real alternatives unless you are willing to get creative or walk a ways. Despite being a converted warehouse area, the area feels both safe and fun.

Ambiance

Lynnwood Brewing Concern has continued to be a favorite of mine through the last few years. It has always felt remote enough to be a hide away from reality while still being so grounded. When we first started to come to Lynnwood Brewing Concern, Wilson’s was still a work in progress.

With the changing years, Lynnwood has continued to be a place to relax and social excitement. So many Breweries lean a little too heavily into the retro-esthetic. Lynnwood Brewing Concern has enough of this to be interesting but still embraces the fact that it is a modern establishment.

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating that is comfortable year round. I love the little bridge that crosses the gap to Wilson’s but it also serves to seclude some additional seating in a fun way.

The indoor and outdoor areas are very dog friendly. Before we had Harper, we would bring Lucy with us to relax in the shade during the summer months. They have dog bowls and water near the front door.

Chalky Brews

Lynnwood actually has multiple locations. This is one of their main locations that makes beer for most of their other locations. You get the feeling of small batch beer by the large chalk board beer menu. This will be routinely updated with their most recent creations.

Over the last few years Kaitlyn and I have tried all of their mainstays including Czech Yourself, Bill and Ted’s and many others. Generally, there is a beer on tap in your preferred style with at least a few seasonal wild cards. They hang all of their awards behind the bar from all of their victorious brews.

IF you are in need of some grub, I do recommend ordering something from Wilson’s Eatery across the way. We wrote a full article on this because it is just a great low risk date option. They have just most generic Americana food you might think of but they do a great job with it. Why over complicate a burger?

Urban Beer Hideout

Away from the main hustle and bustle of downtown makes this a great place to wind down or meet up before the main event. Kaitlyn and I have some sentimental attachment at this point but we really love options afforded to us a Lynnwood and plan to continue to come back to Dock 1053.

Overall

Lynnwood Brewing Concern offers calming atmosphere to enjoy a perfect summer day or meet up with friends. Each season offers something a little different here and I am not just talking about the beer. Lynnwood Brewing Concern has become a staple for us if not Raleigh.
